Communicating with people and selling are one and the same

Proverbs 1:7 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Many people have a fear of selling.  That fear and doubt becomes a major stumbling block if these people can't get past it.  The fact is, if they rationalized the actions they take each day, all people sell every day in some form.

So, why not learn to communicate better and then help others to communicate better and train people on how leverage works.  When we build other people in this way, we build our business and get the results we want in life.

We sell our abilities and talents to our employer on a daily basis to convince him or her that we should keep our job.  We just don't look at it as selling.  When we see a good movie, read a good book, enjoy an incredible vacation, and come back and can't quit talking about these things, we are selling.

When our children are scared of doing something and we encourage them, we are trying to sell them on their abilities that we know they have.  The same process is involved in building a team.

Now, with all of this in mind, why not work to get better at communicating with people and building them up.  Why not learn to use the natural flow of a conversation to guide people to something that will make their lives better.  People hate to be sold, but they love to buy.  

How many people do you know who love going to the beach?  How many of those people would love to have the ability to visit nice beaches more often?  What about people who love going to the mountains?

If these same people could take these trips because they had a better way to save money for them, would that better their lives?  Do you know how to help these people understand these things?

We ask questions and get to know these people.  We are not trying to manipulate anybody, but we have to ask questions in order to get answers and know where their pain point is.  We have the answer within my company to help them go on more incredible vacations, and communicating that is a skill that is learned.

People also have the option of building an income, to the level of their choosing, by learning these communication skills.  We can't treat all people the same way since some people will think differently.  We have to ask questions to get an idea of their thinking.

Not all people will have the desire to learn how to get better with their communication skills.  However, it has been proven that those who do open up a whole new dimension to their lives.  Anybody who chooses to increase their communication skills will be more successful in all areas of their lives, especially in their relationships.  

The book "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie is an excellent place to start learning how to communicate. The book, "Go Pro", by Eric Worre is another excellent book to start an education on communication skills and networking with people.

Would you like a better idea of how to build an organization?  Would you like to learn a simple step you can take consistently with people to let them see this opportunity?

Simply ask, "Can I get your opinion on something?", set up a time to meet with them, and then show them  the video provided by the company.  Then, ask what they liked about it.  Their responses are golden and the more that is done, you will become more and more confident at being consistent with it.
