How it came to be

The saying goes, nothing is free in life, and yet we see many MLM businesses offering just that,  freedom, financial freedom, time freedom, freedom to create a life tailored to you and your desires.

Rewind 3 years ago, I'd considered joining a network marketing business briefly a few times before, but this was different. I was desperate. I was at the pit of post natal depression and I lived for my family, yet somehow, found myself in a dark, despairing place and I feared my way out.

I joined a direct selling business with an incredible legacy, a brand that took me back to my pre teen years shopping for animal soaps and bath pearls. A company that I used to visit as a teen, dipping the glass pipettes of many fragrances and browsing with my friends. 

I joined a business that had led the way in campaigns around the globe, I remember and the one I can really remember was Save the Whale, do you remember this, with Greenpeace? I know many of you will. It was an iconic campaign, one that every human it reached, had to feel some level of activism, even if they didn't do anything with that feeling.

I joined The Body Shop, well, not just The Body Shop, I joined The Body Shop At Home. What I didn't realise, was that what lay ahead of me, was a journey of Self Discovery.

Fast forward 3 years and here I sit, with an incredible team by my side of over 200 wonderful humans. Each on their own journey of self discovery, each with their own heart and soul and their own mission and vision of what they want their future to look like.

Its such a powerful feeling to know that these people can achieve their desires, to know they can make their dreams come true, literally and for them to grow each day, some more than others whilst creating their own destiny.

Do I believe in destiny, this is a funny one for some people, for me the answer is easy, yes I do. I believe that we can create our own future by living right now, put down the future for a moment, leave the past behind you and focus right now, here and today on what you have in front of you. Focus on what you can influence and go make that happen. Our destiny is created from the actions we take. Not from the actions we don't take. 

I believe that the opportunity I am lucky to call my business allows me that flexible FREEdom, that Financial FREEdom, that time FREEdom. I believe its more than just selling a few body butters or mascara, its believeing in the ethics, its being part of a legacy that people talk about all over the world. Its being part of something so much bigger than me.

Its being a mini activist in my own right.

Its being able to take my kids to school and nursery each day, and to pick them up.

Its being able to work from home, for as a little or long as I choose, and it means I no longer send 11 hours out of the house.

It means I get to complain about cooking evening meals again, when the reality is, before I was never here to cook.

It means I get to live a life, that I design and do the things I want to do, because I took a chance on myself. I joined a business that has a huge legacy, I joined a business that I could trust in the name. I joined a business that I knew had meaning to me, and many others, and this was before I had even started.
