IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING KYC DOCS
KYC stands for Know Your Customer.
In order to purchase Karatbars gold products, we are required to verify your identity and place of residence.
After the approval of your KYC documents, you will be able to place your first purchase.
Please make sure the documents meet the following requirements:
1. A valid, government-issued ID document with correlating name, a clear picture in color, expiration date and the relevant date of birth.
2. A physically mailed utility bill, such as an electricity, gas or phone bill/telecommunication not older than 6 months that clearly states the name/company name, address, and a date. NO ENVELOPES, NO SCREENSHOTS OR ONLINE BILLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
For business accounts, we require the following additional documents:
3. Filed Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization (all completed documents which have been submitted to a State or Government). A company submitted to Karatbars for approval MUST be in “good standing”.
4. Evidence that the individual submitting the documents is authorized to contract and transact business on behalf of the company in question.
5. EIN/VAT document.
Acceptable business forms for company registrations need to clearly be a separate legal entity from a private individual.
This can be a registered form of business that is consistent with the country or state that you live in.
For example: in the U.S. and Canada these types of businesses are usually Limited Liability Companies (LLC), Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP), Incorporated (Inc. or Co.), etc.
Some companies may use a Doing Business As (DBA) or Trade Name and this is acceptable AFTER a qualified company is registered.
For Karatbars, only one company regardless of a number of DBAs or Trade names may be registered.
For the purposes of Karatbars International, a company is NOT a sole proprietorship or the DBA/Trade Name of an individual.
PLEASE NOTE: Karatbars verifies information with various regulators, but may require additional documents from the affiliate on a case-by-case basis.
IMPORTANT: The ID card, the utility bill and/or the company registration documents must be kept in separate files.
However, the company registration documents should be loaded as ONE PDF file so that the documents may be considered as ONE package of information. This will speed up the approval process.
General file requirements:
– Accepted file formats: JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, PDF.
– Maximum size per file is 10 MB for JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG.
– Maximum size per file is 1 MB for PDF.
– If your PDF file size is large than 1MB, please compress it to upload. You can use any online PDF-compression service.
