WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?
One of, if not, the #1 reason the majority of people quit our profession is because they don't make any money. They spend more money promoting their business than they make. Some don't make any money at all. This can be extremely frustrating.
I learned that many of the leadership in the network marketing profession have taught everyone into a specific methodology for building a business. As a result, failure rears its ugly head over and over.
If you’ve been involved in more than one company, you know what I’m talking about. Can you feel me?
Most who fail can fall into this mindset that says, "Something must be wrong with me!" But it turns out that nothing is wrong with you. The fact is that all of us have different personalities and different strengths. Simply put, you may just be a different person.
The old-school individuals who fit into the warm market methods were social extroverts who loved talking to people in person and at meetings. If you were an introvert, you'd shutter at the thought and convince yourself that you will never make it in this business.
The moment you are allowed to build this business in the manner that caters to your strengths, instead of trying to change yourself to fit theirs, you will experience the success you've been seeking or more. Isn’t that what we want?
With all the new high tech stuff and the Internet, some may feel that the old way of doing business is gone. Regardless of what technology exists, we still need to talk to people. My point is that the old-school methods do work, but maybe not for you. You must find the methods that are aligned with you and your personality. Only then can you get the results you desire.
I think that most leaders in this profession conveniently skip over the war stories of their career because you might run away screaming if you actually knew what they went through to achieve success.
Think about it, when you started this business you may have been broke and have no business background. You may have wondered, "Who would listen to a broke person with no business background talk about making money and business?"
You may be left with one question...
What can I do to make this business work for me?
Simple; you must learn to become the HUNTED, instead of the HUNTER.
