Networking is what is all about!
I have been with Jordan Essentials for 16 years, and I've built my business, at first with only face to face networking, then I started adding in Online Networking. After all it's all about the relationships that one builds.
One of the organizations that I've been a member of for 27 years reaches across all 50 States, and still consists of the majority of my customer base. We have 17 Leagues here in the Houston area alone. What is this organization you may ask? American Business Women's Association, celebrating it's 63 year.
Personally I belong to Energy Express Network of ABWA, we meet in Downtown Houston on the 2nd Wednesday Monthly with great speakers and dinner. Oh and you're going to want to save the date of January 9th (the 2nd Wednesday) for our Speed Networking event!
American Business Women's Association - The Mission of the American Business Women's Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, and national recognition. While our focus has been on Women, we have many male members, and Energy Express Network of ABWA, has several male members. To find out more about our League I encourage you to visit us at www.abwaenergyexpress.org
Once you become a member of ABWA, you can attend any League Meetings in the City or Country if you travel. We also have our Community Connection for connecting and networking with members across the country online.
I for one have been able to take advantage of the Leadership Development – both on the local and National Levels. I’ve moved from that wallflower to being more extroverted. (Still working on that myself). I gone from a committee chair, to an executive board position to the National Board of Directors (granted the National Board is not for everyone) but it was able to allow me the connections of “Strong Business Women” that were so willing to share their experiences and MENTOR me. I learned skills that I could use at work and in my Direct Sales Business while at the same time building lifelong friendships.
Personal Recognition - Woman of the Year, National Top Ten Business Women of ABWA, Protégé Award, Good Guy Award and the list goes on.
Online training courses on a wealth of topics, some free, some a minimal charge. We even offer a Mini MBA program at our National Leadership Conference.
I encourage you to check out American Business Women’s Association or other networking organizations that can be of help to you in reaching your goals. Would like more information feel free to contact me through my website at www.CathyJELady.com
