Why I do it every day

If you want to do something every day, do it every day.

Sounds simple enough, and most people would agree with it.

Why do so many ignore this simple strategy?

You might blame your lack of motivation on fear.

In this case, it's easy to do.

It's also wrong.

It's not fear that keeps you from working your side gig daily.

What's to be afraid of?

Getting a fat commission check?

Quitting your job?

The great feeling you'll get when you know you've helped someone overcome a challenge?

Doesn't seem likely, does it.

The reason you find it hard to invest the time your business requires is lack of faith.

You don't believe you'll get paid for the effort.

You've spent hours every night for months wracking your brain for new ideas with no results.

The longer it goes on, the weaker your faith gets.

You go to your job every day because you believe every 2 weeks you'll get a check.

You believe it because it happens like clockwork.

Your faith is solid because you've got months or years of proof to back it up.

When it comes to your side biz, you have no evidence to prove you'll ever get paid.

You must develop the ability to continue with faith when you have no proof.

That's the difference between the winners and the losers in every situation.

You may be thinking "This all makes sense, but how do I develop faith when I have no proof?".

I'm glad you asked.

Set small, achievable goals you know you'll reach.

I email my friends (list, tribe, fans) every single day.

Why?

Because I like to talk to my friends every day.

I know they like hearing from me, and I like making their sometimes dreary days a little brighter.

They love reading my messages, and I enjoy talking to them.

I have motivation to email every day because I often get replies from my friends.

Sometimes it's a simple "Thanks!".

Other times the responses are not as friendly.

The point is, I know I'm making an impact because I see the evidence.

See how it works?

You work on your marketing every day.

You look at your stats to measure the reaction of your audience.

You give them more of what they like, and less of what they don't.

Every day.

That's how you'll develop the faith to continue.

Because if what you're doing works in one area, it'll likely work in another.

How fast you figure out what's working and what's not determines the speed of your growth.

And how much moolah you'll make.
