"When I registered for the free webinar on Digital Marketing, I had zero knowledge about it. I was happy working for the Provincial Government of Ontario in the health care sector for about 15 years. It was my main source of income, great salary, great pension and very generous benefits! But I was curious why I was seeing a lot of advertisements on digital marketing in my newsfeed and I wanted to satisfy my curiosity. A former Physical Therapy co-intern of mine who is now based in California was in it too so I became more curious knowing she has a very successful career- why did she join the Digital Marketing too? Now, when I look back at my journey, it felt like it was not long ago. I guess I had so much fun doing it too that I did not realize the time go by. A few months after being in the business, I said goodbye to the promised “job security,” great salary, great pension and very generous benefits! BUT now, I get to stay home all day & night with my 4 kids. My BIG WHY I joined this business, and I am truly grateful I did. Mommy is home everyday now! No more waking up to the sound of the alarm clock. No more boss to tell me when I can take the days off: when my kids are sick, have major activities or take a long vacation to visit my mother in the Philippines. I am now in charge of my time! And most of all, nobody can tell me how much I am worth- I have earned in a month what I was earning in 3 months with my previous employment. That is because I am now my own boss! And I have retired @45!
Mind-blowing journey for someone who has only been in the biz for a year. You know the other beautiful thing about this? It was accomplished through team effort, so I was not alone: I work for myself but not by myself. And because the business is DIGITAL, these numbers were accomplished even while we sleep, out having fun with our families and friends, or on vacation. Perks of AUTOMATION!
I did not have to bug families and friends about selling products or recruiting. I let the power of the internet and social media do the work for me--- Imagine the Freedom that Laptop Lifestyle can give you! Imagine being INSIDE as the player and not just an audience!
Looking back, I thought I wish started sooner. But I am glad that a year ago, I set a Day One instead of kept on thinking one day. If I could do it all over again, I would not change a thing. The digital marketing business is something that I am very proud to call my own, I am my own boss, my own CEO- but most of all I was able to help change many lives including my own. The transformation is indeed a blessing from above!
