The 2 Laws of Productivity to Apply to Your Business...

Have you ever wanted to be more productive and effective? Here are two laws that, once applied, will give your business a big boost. These laws will help you get more out of the hours you are spending on your business, and help you re-evaluate how you can get better results more quickly.

These two laws came from the iconic book The 4 Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris, an incredible read for everyone who is wanting to work less and live more, while making the hours they work more enjoyable, valuable, and productive.

Pareto's Law: 80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts

Parkinson's Law: work expands or shrinks based on the amount of time you give it

To apply Law 1, think about where do 80% of your results come from? Are there a few customers that make up more of your volume? :) how can you serve them best? Are there a few biz partners that do the best, how can you find people with their characteristics? In this way, you can reduce your workload and actually increase your results :)

For me, my best business partners already have some network marketing experience. They are leaders in other aspects of their lives, whether that's in school, work, or church. They are coachable and always looking to learn something new. So those are the types of people I'll spend my time talking to and connecting with.

To apply Law 2, think about a time where you finished a big school paper overnight before the deadline, or finished all your work before you went off for vacation. Wasn't it amazing how much you got done in so little time? You can apply this same sense of urgency by giving yourself deadlines, for example you will reach out to 100 people by the end of the week, and then commit to get it done. If you give yourself no deadlines, you'll find that work can drag on and on until it is never completed...

For me, I like to do this by allocating specific hours to writing articles, creating videos, and replying to conversations. If I set aside an hour to create a presentation, I know it'll be done by the end of the week.
