What's the real meaning of DUPLICATION?

In every MLM system duplication is highlighted as a main factor for success. But do you really understand its meaning? 

Obviously, the idea is that you invite people to join a program with you as a sponsor and get some commisions from their earnings. But does the job end by getting people to join your team?

Many people seem to think so. They work as if they work was to get a bunch of random people join and just hope that some of those people actually start building the businnes. But it's a little bit like giving a pile of wooden planks to a group of people and hoping that they will guess you want them to build a tree house instead of garden table... Good luck - some of them might get the idea but what are the chances?

Actualy the job doesn't end on getting referral. Please notice that actually all MLM or affiliate systems awards you with commisions from many levels in your downline. Some of them (like Organic Life: http://moby04.organiclife.com.pl/register.html) don't even differentiate the amount of commision on the level of the active members in your structure. This means that you don't get rewarded just for getting someone directly beneath you in the structure. In fact the goal is to teach your direct referrals to build their teams. 

Of course, it's impossible to do the job for someone else - the person in the program needs to believe in the idea, stay active and promote the system. But what if he has no skills or experience to do so? Or even, maybe he does not really believe they could succeed by participation in the program?

This is a place where you can come in. Teach your downlines how to promote themselves as potential sponsors. Only when they start getting their own downlines and theach them to do the same you can say you started to build DUPLICATION - your downline starts growing without your effort and you benefit from it anyway.

And this brings us to the conclusion that the main goal you should set to yourself when you join MLM program is... that people in your downline succeed! Yes. Not you should succeed but your downline. This is your actual goal and on this should you focus your efforts.

It means you might even consider assigning people you recruit as a downline of your referrals. This way you might weaken initial doubts, help build financial safety to your downline and let him focus more efforts on learning and actual building his own team. You should of course watch if the person you are supporting actually commits himself or rather wait for you to work instead of him - in such situation you should forget about this specific downline. But if he doesn't have much initial results but shows commitment - help him!

Only this way you really begin the process of duplication. And your financial benefits will come as well...
