My family history is reason enough to look for the answer to good health. Why? I am the oddball out! The "health-nut" of the family, the "white-wicken" to my friends, and the passionate "healer-wannabe" to myself. My family has been plagued with a list of illnesses so long that I am that person you are talking about when you say, "OMG, don't mention any disease around her, because someone in her family has had it or died from it?" Almost true!
I am one of 7, including my parents, and yes we have a list to include everything from Heart Disease to Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Emphysema, Bleeding Ulcers, Ulcerated Colitis, Crohn's Disease, Breast, Ovarian, Kidney and Colon Cancer, Polyps, Gallbladder Disease, GERD, Gout, Neuropathy, Dupuytren's Disease, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Total Blindness, MacTel 2, Triple By-Pass Surgery, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Respiratory Illness, Obesity, Lap Band Surgeries, Stomach Stapling, Benign Breast Lumps, Infertility, MERSA, Lupus, Fibrocystic Disease, Fibroid Tumors, Hysterectomies, Collapsed Spine, Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lens Replacement, Cauterized Tear Ducts, and even a sister that is a Paraplegic. My mother, father, and oldest sister are all deceased. My remaining siblings suffer from many of the illnesses listed above and refuse to believe they can make lifestyle changes that positively impact their well being by switching to a plant based diet and taking the right supplements.
