Summertime Recruiting Tips for MLM Reps
Today, I would like to share some of my best summertime recruiting tips for MLM reps. Summertime is normally the slowest time of year in network marketing.
Why? Because kids are out of school, people go on vacation, people get married, people are traveling, and just enjoying life. And while the summer months may be slower than normal, the FALL season is typically the BEST time of year to recruit.
That's why you want to double or triple your efforts in the summertime, so you can create momentum for the months of October, November and December. Listed below are six things you can do to make that happen.
# 1: Increase your advertising budget
Now is the time to increase your monthly advertising budget, so you can generate more leads. If you are currently investing $100 per month, increase it to $300 or $500 per month, even more if you can afford it. You want to advertise while you competition isn't doing it.
# 2: Talk to 3x more prospects
If you normally approach 5 people per day about your products or business opportunity, start talking to 15 people per day. This will add more people to your pipeline. It should also result in more recruits and retail sales.
# 3: Get your pipeline full
Your pipeline should be kept FULL at all times. These are people you have reached out to, but have not signed up yet. In other words, they are still going through your recruiting process. I suggest you maintain at least 300 to 500 people in your pipeline at all times.
# 4: Have a summer recruiting contest
I love having contests with my team. Reach out to everyone you have sponsored AND all of your serious people and do a team recruiting contest for the summer months. Come up with some great prizes. Do lots of recognition. And whatever you do, make it fun.
# 5: Schedule events for the fall
Now is a great time to schedule events for the fall. Book home parties and events for the months of October, November and December. Do it now. Once the month of September arrives many people will start doing this, so if you do it earlier on in the summer, you will be ahead of the game.
# 6: Work in depth
Maybe you're not that great at generating leads or recruiting. If not, help your team recruit. Reach out to everyone on your team and help them connect with their prospects. Schedule meetings with them. That can keep you really busy.
Final Thoughts
The bottom line is that most network marketers slow down and take the summer months off. Don't make that common mistake. Double or triple your efforts so you can create MOMENTUM and ride that momentum throughout October, November and December. You will be glad that you did.
