Network marketing, or more commonly known as MLM, is one of the few ways ordinary everyday people can own a business and get out of the 9-5 rat race. It usually allows people to have a legit business with a limited amount of start-up capital required. And in a post-Covid world, there are more people now looking for work from home opportunities than anytime in history. The questions is, why? Why do people, now more than ever, want to ditch their office or manual labor job to work from home?

There are actually many reasons, and I will cover just a few. First and foremost, the idea of being home to school the kids while earning an income is not only appealing, but people were forced to actually do just that for almost two years. Now that they see that it is totally possible to juggle all of that and not have to deal with traffic, gas, transportation, office drama and politics, etc., when the bell rang to go back to the rat race, they decided that wasn't going to be their future, for the rest of their lives.

Another big reason that people are looking for the work from home gig is because we have seen that at the snap of someone's fingers, you could be ordered to something that is against your religious beliefs or just not in the best interest of your personal health. Many people, at this very moment, are trying to decide whether to compromise their beliefs and possible health, to trade their time for money. Money is the ultimate motivator but there are so many people that have drawn their line and are not going to cross it, under any circumstances, even losing their jobs.
As network professionals, we know that on the high side of 90% of people who join a network marketing company will not make any money and will quit inside of 3 months, with the end result being a LOSS of income not a gain.
But you are ready...you are going to do this and you are going to SUCCEED!! 
You now have to find the right company, which can be extremely daunting. You could just fill out a work from home form, not knowing who will call or what company they will be with.
If you don't want to end up with a closet full of the latest and greatest "weight loss miracle pills" or a bunch of makeup and jewelry you'll never wear, then you will need something that people NEED! 
This is not a time nor an economy to try to sell someone else on an opportunity where the products are not a "need". And the biggest red flag when deciding to join a company is when the person who approaches you with it says "It's not about the product, it's about the opportunity and lifestyle". So is there a secret to successfully finding a good company and actually make money with them? Not really. The old saying "the money is in your list" holds fairly true, but if you are new, you don't have a list and it takes A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT to get your own list of any size.
That leaves buying a list from someone else or biting the bullet and getting to work, knowing that you will more than likely go MONTHS WITH LITTLE OR NO INCOME! And if you buy a list, it's basically a list of people who, at some point in time, answered some generic ad about making money at home. The risks of going this route are great. The people who filled out a generic form to make money from home have probably already been hit up by multiple marketers from multiple companies, and if by some outside chance they weren't, they rarely even remember filling out the form. Good luck with those.
