How To Succeed wth MLM/Affiliate Marketing
My name is Donald Lowery and I live in southeast Arizona. I am an accomplished on-line marketer. I have been in and around marketing for over 15 years. I am 49 years old and 100% debt free. If you are looking to earn money via the internet there are some things you need to cover. Let me explain. No matter what you are doing, you need to work smarter, not harder. Be different, market yourself, become the expert. How do you do this in a sea of web pages? You create what is called a "marketing funnel". Let's take a look at this.
Step1. Stand Out From The Crowd - Many people fail wen it comes to marketing on-line, not because of any company, but because they simply do not know how to market properly. They join a company, then plaster a "replicated" web site all over the internet, and end up getting little to no results. You must stand out from the crowd. Dare to be different than everyone else. If you are going to stand a chance in this highly competitive industry, you have to be different then the rest of the crowd. Never send a prospect to a replicated company page, period! You should only send them to your product or offer after you have captured their information.
Step 2. You must capture your prospects information - At a minimum a Name and E-mail address. Personally I also like to get a phone number as well. If a prospect comes to your page and you fail to do this, once they are gone, they are lost pretty mush forever. If you capture the information, you can continue to contact that prospect, it's proven that most people (unless compulsive) do not buy on the first visit. You have to get your product or offer in front of them multiple times (more on that later). So how do you do that? How can you capture a prospects information? You offer them something of value, in exchange for the information you want to collect. This can be a video, an E-Book, a voucher or coupon, the list is endless. Just make sure whatever you offer is indeed something of value. Here is an example. I have a lead capture page in which I offer a FREE tour that shows people how I get results. In this case my target market is people that want to earn money, are looking to do so, and in exchange for contact info I am going to give them a free tour to see how I do it. Step 3. You must follow up - We learn by repetition, as such we also make purchasing decisions by repetition. As stated already above, most people will not purchase from you on the first visit to your web site. In most cases they are only looking around and really have no intention of buying anyhow, so you must build value, create interest, and show your prospect why they should buy from you, and you must capture their information so that you can get back with them. You most certainly don't want to be tied to your computer all day waiting to send out E-mail. So how is this done? This is where an automated system comes into play. We call this an auto-responder. The responder is tied to your capture page and is loaded with pre written letters that explain your offer, builds value, and places your offer in front of them. You can set it to send messages during specific time intervals as well, and a good service will allow you to blast out to the entire list or certain individuals. The form on the "capture" page is inked to this responder, so when a prospect fills out the form and submits they are added to that campaign.
Step 4. Thank The Prospect - When they fill out the form and submit, send them to a thank you page that thanks them for filling out the form. This is a good time to remind them to check their E-mail and let them know you sent them some information. You might want to let them know what to expect such as future mail, or a phone call. Just let them know that you have the information they gave you, and you will be reaching out to them. This way, they are more likely to respond to you when you do reach out to them, then send them to the next step.
Step 5. Give Them The Gift - This is the reward for filling out the page in the first place. This can be in the E-mail you sent them, or it can be a physical page they click on. If it is sent in E-mail, you may want to let them know that in the step above so they are sure to open the letter your responder sent them. No Matter what, this is the place you reward the prospect. In this specific example using the link above, they are sent to a video that that is an overview of my offer. This video creates value, excitement, and explains the product or service. You can make a video yourself, or most companies offer this kind of video you can use. Just have it embedded into this page. Then the last part of the funnel.
Step 6. Show Them The Offer - This is the last step in the funnel. This is where you send them to the sales page, the company page, or the sign up link. If you have done a good job in the pages prior to this you will have succeeded in capturing a new lead/prospect that is waiting for you to contact them, you have given them something of value that helps create trust, and you have show them how they can buy something from you because you are different and have created value for them. This will increase your chances of now sealing the deal with a sale.
Have you ever heard the phrase "The Money Is In the List"? This is a very true statement, however there is more than just building a list. You have to create Know, Like and Trust. This is why you must brand yourself, get people to know who you are, create rapport, build trust. Once people know who you re and like you, they will trust you enough to buy from you. Always create value, and always over deliver. This is why I use a funnel, this is why I stand out from the crowd, this is why I brand myself, and call my prospects when the fill out my form. I am letting them know I am real person, I am the expert, and I can show them how to succeed.
I have been marketing on-line a long time, and I can not guarantee you will make money because it is based on your efforts, and I don't know what effort you will put forth, but I can tell you this.
