Tearin' Down Walls

Oh, my aching body.

I've been hitting the gym twice a day this year.

It's paying off, but it's taken some determination.

The last few weeks I've been thinking about something.

How can a person be good at one thing... focused... working extra hard... and yet fail to perform in another?

For instance...

I often hear of high-powered entrepreneurs who run themselves ragged in business.

They work 14 - 18 hour days, never get enough sleep and eat things that would make a billy goat puke.

Suddenly they notice they're 40 pounds overweight.

Or worse, a heart attack reminds them they've been letting themselves go.

On the other hand...

There are people who work out all the time... have a good diet and sleep soundly every night.

But they can't seem to get their business off the ground.

Why do these people excel in one area and not in the other?

Couldn't they apply the same method to areas where they're weak and make better progress?

I think they could.

Which brings me to the situation I experienced in the gym the other day.

It was during my evening workout when I use the StairMaster.

I don't know if you've ever tried one, but the intensity is far above an elliptical or stationary bike.

Which is why I use it :)

I was in a zone where I didn't know if I should continue.

My heart was pounding at over 153 beats per minute and I was feeling a little weird.

I pushed on.

As usual, I caught a second wind and made my goal.

But something was different.

I noticed that I was sweating a little more... and I felt like I'd won.

I told Rockit (my muse and partner) that it seemed like I'd broken through a barrier of some kind.

My workout today confirmed it.

I'm definitely past a hurdle of some kind.

Which reminded me of my question... Why can't a person push through barriers in other areas the same way they do in the things they're good at?

When I solve this it'll be a huge help to lots of people... especially me.

So I've decided to throw a little gas on my business fire... and ramp up all my activities.

I'm shooting lots more videos, finally started a podcast and I'm writing more, too.

I'm confident I'll achieve results in my business similar to what I got in the gym.

Push a little harder and you can break free from your dead-end job and be your own boss too... or make a change in your business and finally start getting results.

Here's how I did it
