Social Media Marketing Essentials

When it comes to marketing your business on social media, you need to be very careful how you promote. There are two main directions for promotion, one is completely organic and is typical of a free solution while the other direction is the paid for solution. Starting off with organic marketing will often assist you in spreading the word about your business and also help to build your brand. Whether you are promoting your own business or company or you are promoting a business opportunity, think about your own branding of what you are about. This is your main goal, to build up who you are and what you personally offer beyond the business promotion.

Building your brand doesn’t mean you are necessarily talking about yourself. What this means is what you offer and how you relate to your business. Think in terms of what your business offers and how you can provide a bit more to the service. Even if you are working a Networking or MLM company, whatever the solutions are that they provide, your brand should be clear about where you stand in providing those solutions. This could be in the form of training or tips on how to fast track your business offer.

The key to promoting your business on social media is to not come off as a sales pitch. Using the soft sell technique by promoting your brand or providing information about your brand will have a greater positive response than just blatantly pitching to people. Be on the alert to first build good relationships that will help you learn about other people. Find some sort of common ground that will help to solidify the relationship and let people decide if they are interested in learning more about you, your brand or your business.

Always consider the quid pro quo option in the relationship. This can be something as simple as visiting a site and providing feedback or it can be more invested such as joining another company or opportunity. Don’t feel pressured to join another opportunity if it doesn’t not seem to be a good match! There are many different solutions available, so do your research before you jump in.

There are many tools that can be used to help you promote your business on social media. One solution to consider is a free auto responder posting for Facebook. This option is great when combined with a short article that you submit for posting. Remember that your article should be well written and informative while promoting your brand. Like anything new to help you grow your business there will be a learning curve to get you up and running. Once you learn the ins and outs of the free auto responder, you can set up your campaigns with articles and text. Then schedule your campaign to run.

I suggest you create a series of articles or emails to first before you run your campaign. Then set the postings to go out at different intervals. You can post to a group or even to specific individuals, but please be careful about over posting to individuals. For a great free auto responder Facebook marketing tools, check out the one I’m currently using here. This is a fairly new one I’ve started using, but I will be creating some training on using this in the future.
