Looking For Families in Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota To Host Exchange Student

My name is Mat Sokup and I'm an Area Representative for World Heritage Student Exchange Programs. I help place students in Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota. I'm looking for families to host at least 1 high school student. We have students from 40 different countries that want to come to the USA to expand their English and to learn about our culture.

Why should you host?
This is such a rewarding thing to do. All you need to do is provide a room, bed, and meals. It is really that simple! Each student comes with their own insurance and spending money. What you gain is a new son or daughter and if you have kids, they gain a new brother or sister. If you have younger children, you're in luck! We have students that love younger kids and would be willing to help with watching the youngsters so you can have a date night. If you need a weekend break, no worries, I'm just a phone call away, and we can make an arrangement to take your exchange student for a day or a weekend.

What do you gain?
You gain a new son or daughter, and knowledge of another culture and country. Each student teaches us so much! Students are ready to hit the ground running and learn as much as they can about America and Americans and how we truly are and not just from a book. Plus many students like to cook. They may even cook for you once a month or even once a week. It's a great way to bring a new country into your home, without ever having to travel to that country. Perhaps in the future, you will want to go to that country. Maybe it will be Spain? The Netherlands? Armenia? Mexico? Or even Australia?
